Background

Veni Apwann (VA) is a non-profit company, registered in 2003 in the Republic of T&T under the 1995 Companies Act. It was established to build capacity in existing and potential Caribbean civil society organisations (CSOs) by providing training, technical support and guidance to empower them to become visionary leaders in their communities.

Veni Apwann, meaning both 'come and learn' and 'come and teach' in Creole, captures the essence of our approach - innovative, participatory, strongly rooted in our Caribbean heritage and civil society backgrounds, and based on a spirit of partnership within and beyond the non-profit sector. Based on our in-depth understanding of the needs of the sector, VA has positioned itself to champion and facilitate the empowerment of Caribbean CSOs.
